Erfahrungen mit FS 4.2 und Java 7

Hallo,

Hi Peter,

is it possible to provide the system property you offered ("-Djava.util.Arrays.useLegacyMergeSort=true") directly within the FirstSpirit generated JNLP file. According to http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/guide/javaws/developersguide/syntax.html#resources it is possible to offer them in "property"-tags within the "resources" element. But they talk about "secure" property types that might be passed to the JVM. The one you mentioned is not a "secure" one Smiley Sad

Currently, we would have to modify:

- /opt/wcms/fs4/web/ROOT/start/FirstSpirit.jsp referring to "_configuration.jspf"

to allow that. Are we right?

Hi,

is your question still relevant or did you get a solution meanwhile?

I am not sure, if you are right. So, if you are still waiting for an answer, i would ask you to report this question to our helpdesk-team. I am sure, they can help you.

Dear Michaela,

the question is still open and relevant. But why switching now to the e-Spirit HelpDesk? It's just a yes/no question to finalize this discussion thread.

hi holger,

we do not want to provide this param, cause we could not garantee that fs4 is completly working with java7 independent of this arg. fs4 is tested only against java6/5 so we could not provide any support for this kind configuration (fs<->jdk).

and yes, you're right:
