DG Release (Geo Aware) - 10 February 2021

Consent Control Improvements

Consent Control is an easy way to implement compliant consent notices with one line of JavaScript, the Omni-Tag. Previously, Consent Control had to be set up for one type of consent at a time (Prior Consent/GDPR or Opt-Out/CCPA). With this update, Consent Control can now support multiple privacy laws and consent types on the same consent notice

How does it work?

Consent Control leverages the auto-blocking capability of our TagControl product. URLs set up in both products, Universal Consent Platform and TagControl, will automatically be matched up to deliver the configured enforcement for your consent notices. With this release, the product will also automatically recognize which type of regulation to enforce.

You can read more about how these product work together to deliver compliant consent experiences and how to get started with implementation here.

TagControl will recognize any UCP notices that share the same URLs. Once a notice is setup in Universal Consent a Site will need to be created in TagControl matching the UCP domain.  From this point Observation will be begin and polices will be created.  Once enforcement is then turned on the Omni-Tag will begin the auto blocking and recognize which type of regulation to enforce a Site will need to be created in TagControl matching the UCP site setup.  From this point Observation will be begin and polices will be created.  Once enforcement is then turned on the Omni-Tag will begin the auto blocking and recognize which type of regulation to enforce.
