Dear FirstSpirit community,
we have some questions regarding the FirstpSpirit core archiving functionality:
- is it explicitly allowed to archive a FirstSpirit project when editing tasks are executed in parallel?
Yes.
- what about the check box "Show partly archived versions" in the JavaClient version history? Does it show all the revisions visually that are being archived? Details see screenshot enclosed!
Achiving must keep some content below the archived revision. With the mentioned check box these revisions are displayed, but it's not guraranteed that all acontent for these revisions is available.
Dear Peter,
regarding the last bullet point, could you be more precise. We did not get the point,
Imagine a node which is created at time t1, and afterwards some content of it is changed at time t10, and other parts of the node remain unchanged (e.g. a file, where the content for one language is changed).
If now everything up to time t5 is archived, the unchanged part for this node which is stored at t1 must be kept. The parts which are changed at t10 could be archived in their version from t1.
Everything before t5 could have been moved to the archive, so if you look back beyound this border the chance is high that parts are missing.
