FirstSpirit 5.2R21 (Build 2109) is the latest release in our 5.2 branch and contains bugfixes as well as new functionality.

The new FirstSpirit version is available for download at http://www.e-spirit.de/download/firstspirit/5.2.2109. You need a personal login to access the download folder. Please contact our Technical Support if you do not have a personal login.
Java 9, 10 and 11 Support: The release notes provide further information about the support of Java 9, 10 and 11. Please see chapter 3 "Oracle Java: Discontinuing support for version 7 and other restrictions relating to version 9+" of the release notes attached here for details. As part of product maintenance we are going to discontinue Java 7 support from the next release in June 2018 onwards, as already announced in the deprecation notices of earlier release notes.
New release names: Starting with the next release of FirstSpirit we are going to introduce a new release name schema. Releases will then not be named by consecutive numbers (R19, R20, R21, etc.) but by the year and month of the release. The next version will thus be labeled FirstSpirit 2018-06, followed by FirstSpirit 2018-07 in July, and so on. Please see chapter 4 "Announcement: New release names" of the release notes attached to this post for further details.
Update: Due to a technical problem discovered just minutes after the release we decided to release FirstSpirit 5.2R21 again with a new build number. If you have read this post earlier today the build number was described as being 2108, the correct build number is now 2109.
