FirstSpirit 2018-06 is the latest release of FirstSpirit and contains bugfixes as well as new functionality. It is the first release following the new naming schema described in this blog post (German only).

The new FirstSpirit version is available for download at http://www.e-spirit.de/download/firstspirit/2018-06. You need a personal login to access the download folder. Please contact our Technical Support if you do not have a personal login.
Java Support: As reported earlier, this is the first version of FirstSpirit not supporting Java 7 anymore. Additionally the support for Java 9 is ceased as Oracle stopped developing it. We recommend using Oracle Java 8 in production environments and are continuously working on supporting recent and coming versions of Java as described in chapter 2 "Java: Current status and outlook" of the release notes attached to this post.
Updating with External Application Servers: When using an external application server it is possible that the start up time is much slower directly after an update to the latest version of FirstSpirit. Please see chapter 5.4 "Possible problems when updating FirstSpirit with external application servers" of the release notes attached to this post for details and how to avoid this behaviour.
