SELECTION of FirstSpirit RESOURCES ONLY where the LANGUAGE does MATCH

Dear FirstSpirit community,

the current FirstSpirit implementation and its input components does allow the selection of FirstSpirit resources that do not match  the language of the source. Example:

  • the source FirstSpirit page is available in English (master language). English is marked as fully translated.
  • the target page ref and its page are not available in English, the page is not marked as fully translated in any language

The result: the link generation fails providing a 404 error (especially where the 404 page is not properly configured).

Feature request description: allow only selecting FirstSpirit located resources that match the language of the source. Criterias should be:

  • "is fully translated" for the underlying page where a page ref is chosen out of a FirstSpirit input component in a source page
  • corresponding language is edited for a language dependent media

We have evaluated the issue once again, but have no plans for a realisation in the near future. Therefore, we cannot consider your feature request at this time.

You can find more details about our feature selection process in our Features Policy.
