DXM Release Notes - 7 August 2024

We are excited to introduce the latest update to DXM, version 3.90. This release includes a number of bug fixes as well as significant back end improvements. These backend improvements include publishing and compilation performance enhancements. 

Version 3.90

Bugs

  • Asset History Issue – corrected an issue where multiple fields across several assets were updated that contained a link to a specific page. Case: 142816
  • Improve behavior when using URL in CMS search – corrected an issue where when pasting a URL into the search box in the file view, the CMS commonly returned assets in the Retired or Archived states.
  • Unexpected error in template loading – Corrected an issue with errors around developers’ templates. Case: 131443 
  • UI - User Avatar Visual Bug- Corrected an issue requiring an avatar in user profile configuration. Case: 120679
  • Asset is not getting published when having a workflow with spellcheck or set schedule enforced in transition – provided error messages in the UI to call out requirements of the workflow which were not fulfilled.

  • Most recent opened asset dropdown not visible inside Select Asset modal – corrected an issue where when viewing the most recent opened asset dropdown inside the Select Asset modal, the second half of the dropdown list is not visible.
  • Package Removal Issue – Corrected an issue where a deleted package could still be in use. Case Number:00158575

Backend Improvements

The following backend improvements can be implemented on a per customer basis. Please reach out to support or your CSM for more information.

  • Link Caching - links cached only once per publishing session, offering performance improvements in large publishing sessions.
  • Compilation synchronization - compilation is synchronized, avoiding conflicts and file not found exceptions
  • Assembly Storage storing assemblies in Redis (NoSQL DB) instead of the file system can offer performance gains and reduce errors during publishing.
