Serving different image formats based on user browser

How can we do this? For example, serving .jpg to Internet Explorer users and .webp to Chrome users. Does it have to be done manually in the html, or does Crownpeak have functionality to do this in a more streamlined way?

Unfortunately to serve different files on the web would require javascript code. Code would need to be added to your site which checks which browser is being used by the user and than call the link of the desired image.

There is no prebuilt method for this in the cms.
