Why am I seeing consent data stored in Local Storage vs Cookie?

Jump to solution

Also comparing to your Options dialog - when consent levels are applied, they are written out to cookie storage.
When we do the same thing, ours are written to Local Storage.

Is that discrepancy anything to be concerned with?

This difference in consent data storage is due to a slight difference in functionality. The notice for community.crownpeak.com is set to apply consent to all subdomains which is why that info goes to cookie storage. Your notice is currently set to apply consent to all pages of the top-level domain. This setting for where to apply consent is located below the Domain field on Step 1 and additional information on subdomain consent pops up when you select the setting. Changing this setting will not affect delivery of the notice, this is determined by where in your site the UCP script is installed.
