V3 Requirements to Use

Requirements to use 

In this training, you will learn the requirements to use the Crownpeak CMS. This includes 

  • Browser Requirements 
  • Access and steps to login  
  • How to contact support if you have any issues 
  • And steps to transition, if you are using an older version of the CMS user interface 

By the end of this chapter, you will be able to log into your CMS instance in the V3 user interface.  


Browser requirements 

V3, our latest UI, is in the browser. There is no additional installation required.   

We support 

  • IE 11. 
  • Microsoft Edge 
  • Google Chrome 
  • Safari 

Our QA team tests on PCs and Macs, so the experience in both is first class

Access and logging in 

To access the CMS, you will go to your unique instance URL 

It will be secure and start with forward slash, then your organization name 

And finally, forward slash V3 at the end 

Here is an example – this is the URL for the training and demos instance 

The key is the forward slash V3 at the end this will take you to the login screen current UI 



If you are a new user, you should use the temporary password you have received by email and follow the instructions to reset and login. 

If you are a developer, you'll use the same username and password you use today for Desktop Connection. 

If you are not sure how about the unique URL or if you encounter any issuescreate support case or contact your customer success manager. Support can always get your access configured. Your customer success manager can help walk you through the steps and provide additional information. 


Transition to V3 

Currently, you may be using the Classic or Volte user interfaces and just making the transition to the latest version. 

So please note: V3 is available for all instances and all users. 

For our existing customers, we suggest the following to familiarize yourselves with the latest user interface: 

  • Start by experimenting on a page by either creating new one with your model or branching an existing asset. 
  • Validate that you can edit and publish as expected 
  • Once you confirm there are no issues, use it for the CMS tasks you now complete in Volte or Classic.

In summary, all you need is your username, password and your instance URL to access the CMS.  

Use forward slash V3 at the end to access your content through the latest UI
