Configuration of Help URL

Jump to solution

Hi Together,

in our FS5 is the HELP function not active, because we use the following URL for the CMS:

FEE CMS5 URL: http://cms5-test.xxxxxxxxx.com/fs5root/

but the help URL is still http://cms5-test.xxxxxxxxx.com/help/...

Is it possible to configure the URL for the help in order to use the "fs5root" from the URL above?

Regardings.

Did you change to "fs5root" recently? Which setting did you change for this? And you did a restart of the FirstSpirit-Server afterwards?

Hello Ronny,

did you solve the problem or do you need more help? If you solved the problem it would be nice if you explain your solution.

Best regards,

René

Thanks.

we found the following property in admin documentation:

HELP_URL: Defines the relative URL under which the FirstSpirit online help is

stored (see section 4.2 page 31 for the notation ${}). Example:

HELP_URL=${WEBAPP_ROOT_NAME}/help.

We tried to set the HELP_URL property in the fs-server.conf and restarted the server but it does not have any effect. The help URL in the client still points to http://cms5-test.xxxxxxxxx.com/help/. What is the purpose of this property?

Is there really no possibilty to configure the help URL which is used in the client?

Regards.

Hi Ronny,

can you show us the sections of your fs-server.conf file containing the configuration of the fs5root path?

The HELP_URL property is a FS4.2 property and not longer supported in FS5.

Best regards,

Donato

Hi,

Are there different fs-server.conf for external tomcat and InternalJetty?

The only configuration for fs5root we can find is selected.webserver.fs5root=GenericTomcat and

active.webserver.fs5root=GenericTomcat.

Do you have an example Section? We don't know what to search for.

Best regards.

Hi Ronny,

perhaps the Admin-Documentation (4.3.1.7 Area: Web Applications) helps you.

Hello Ronny,

do you need further help or did the replies already help you? If so, it would be great if you marked

the reply, which helped you, as "correct answer" so that other community users find the solution easily. If you have already found a solution by yourself, it would be very kind of you, if you posted it here.

Best regards

Michaela
