We noticed that the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) SE6 Update 24 broke the mechanism we use to change projects within the java client. We're still investigating the root cause and will update this post accordingly.
So if you rely on that funtionality, do not update to that version or simply close the JavaClient and restart it manually.
Please note that this just affects the JavaClient, not the FirstSpirit server.

Oracle accepted this as a JDK bug, which unfortunately will be present in SE6 Update 25 as well.
Oracle plans to fix this problem with JDK7. We will keep you updated.

Oracle has fixed this bug in Java7 (Build 142), their current plan is to incorporate this bugfix in SE6 Update 27.
