When we have a page that has a link to another page and that other page has not been published, the page publishes fine, but does not render the <a> anchor.
I know this is by design, but I wonder if it can be improved.
Our users who aren't as savvy with the inner workings, often see their pages look wonky, (missing images, styles askew, missing links) because they are wrapped in the anchor tag.
If there is a way to default links to a prespecified link such as a 404 page on publish, it would alleviate visual issues on the publish view of the document.
The struggle is real with us on this one. Users calling us and we have to investigate each one.
