If you have a tab or many tabs open and you click on the "Content" button on the left navigation of the DXM, all your tabs disappear. 

The correct  behaviour should be that the tabs remain.

Wow thanks, I just lost all my tabs testing this! 

I agree, it seems the intuitive behavior would be to navigate you to the Root, not to also close all tabs. Furthermore, the CMS still shows those tabs as "locked", so it would appear this is a bug, not an intended feature.

Side note, it does retain tabs when switching to another "left nav" section, such as Reports and back to Content.

Fortunately, you can back button on the browser to get the tabs all back.
