Hi Crownpeak,
What is the process to update an expired (or about to expire) certificate?
Thanks!
Hello,
The process for replacing a certificate can be done one of three ways.
1) If your team has created their own CSR and created a certificate from that CSR than they can send in a ticket to Crownpeak Support containing the url of the site, the certificate, and the private key. This can also be bundled together in .PFX format for the certificate rather than sending in the key and cert individually.
2) Your team can also request a CSR from the Crownpeak Support Team. If you require a CSR please send in a Crownpeak Support Ticket with the following information included:
i. Bit Length: 2048
ii. Organization (Legal Company Name):
iii. Organizational Unit (Division, Dept, etc.):
iv. Common Name (Fully Qualified domain name that is getting the cert):
v. Country/Region USA
vi. State/province (No Abbreviations):
vii. City/Locality (No Abbreviations:
Once this information is provided, the Crownpeak Support Team will provide a CSR for your team to use to create a Certificate.
Once your team has created the Certificate send a Crownpeak Support Ticket containing the certificate and the url of the site (As the Crownpeak Support Team created the CSR, they will already have the key). We will than proceed with installing the certificate.
3) The third option utilizes Amazon ACM. If you utilize this route please create a Crownpeak Support Ticket and provide the url of the site and a note that your team would like to setup an ACM certificate.
Crownpeak Support will than provide a set of DNS that your team will need to setup to verify that they own the url (This is required by Amazon). Once the DNS has been setup and you have noted that to Crownpeak Support they will proceed with the installation.
