How to publish lots of assets

I have copied some folders containing thousands of assets to a new location, and now they're all in Draft. How can I mass publish all of them to Live?

Hello Claudio,

You can use the route feature. Right click and asset you'd like to publish and select route, next you'll select the state you want to publish to (dev, stage, live, etc) From here you will select "Route Additional Assets".

On the next menu you can shoot to the "Relate By" Drop down and and you can select how wide the publishing will be based on file location, workflow, templates, etc.

After selecting the specified files click save.

Then Click route to dev, stage, live, etc.

Route -> Route Additional Assets -> Select Assets - > Save -> Route to Location

I've attached a screenshot of a couple of the menu items.

Let me know if that helps.

Best Regards,

Michael

Thanks Michael.

All of those files are below an _Assets folder. Is there anything else we need to do for them to become visible? Right now we get a "resource cannot be found", even if they are Live.

Do they all share the same workflow? You could try that method to select the correct items. If they are all in the same directory then the sibling selection should work.

Can you send a screenshot of what you are encountering?

The asset is already published live, but it's not found.

This doesn't let me attach an image, but here is what is says if y try to load on a browser /images/associates/50577-01.jpg :

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Would you be able to send me the folder path in the cms and the asset id of one of the assets you are publishing out?

I'm curious if publishing perhaps is not applied to a certain folder.

Michael

It looks like these are currently published out.

Example

Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong area?

Also there does not appear to be an /images/associates/ path for these images.

Let me know if that path is correct.
