You are affected by this change if you rely on downloading new versions of CaaS components using the CaaS bundles that are available in our download portal.

What changed?

Future releases of CaaS components will be available for download individually only.
This implies that new releases are available on new paths in our download portal https://file.crownpeak.com:

New: /customer-download/Modules/CaaS/caas-connect  (or
         /customer-download/Modules/CaaS/caas-module)

Why?

This will give customers immediate access to the latest versions of the components and allow them to benefit immediately from new features or bug fixes.

Dependencies between module and platform versions will continue to be documented in the release notes of the components.
To ensure that the versions used are compatible with each other, it is essential to check the release notes.

In some cases the embedded preview inside the ContentCreator was truncated when requested by the browser. This issue did not happen with enabled HTTP/1.1 GZIP compression, which can be configured in the Tomcat HTTP connector.

Important information:
We will change the process for providing the CaaS components (platform and modules) shortly.
Previously, the latest versions of all components involved were bundled into a date-based "release" at regular intervals and could be downloaded from that point on.
In the future, we will instead immediately make each CaaS component available for download individually when changes are made. This will give customers immediate access to the latest versions of the components and allow them to benefit immediately from new features or bug fixes.

Dependencies between module and platform versions will continue to be documented in the release notes of the components.
To ensure that the versions used are compatible with each other, it is essential to follow the notes on this in the release notes.

we have published a new CaaS release today. The versions contained are CaaS platform 16.1.0, CaaS Connect 3.28.2 and CaaS module 2.22.0.

Deprecations:
Please note that we introduced some deprecations around the topic of Authorization within CaaS Platform:

• With version 15.4.0, we have added the standardized Bearer token format (Bearer <key>) to the values supported for the Authorization header. The proprietary value (apikey="<key>") currently accepted for the Authorization header will be removed in 06/2023.
  Client implementations will need to switch over to the Bearer token format.
• With version 15.5.0, the usage of HTTP Basic Auth is deprecated and will also be removed in 06/2023.
  Client implementations currently using HTTP Basic Auth (e.g. the admin user) will have to switch to the global master api key along with the Bearer token format.
