DQM Checkpoints and Standards

Checkpoints - Table summaries must not duplicate table captions

 

A caption operates like a header and is read by screen readers. Captions are used to help users understand what the table's purpose is. A caption is defined by the <caption> element.

Technical Details The checkpoint examines the entire HTML source code of a page and reports if any <table> has summary text is duplicated in the <caption>
