Checkpoints - Table summaries must not duplicate table captions
Why is this important?
A table can use both a caption and a summary. A summary provides a general explanation on to use and navigate a the table. And captions are used to help users understand what the table's purpose is. It is important not to confuse the purpose of each one and use each appropriately when necessary. As such both summary and caption should not have the same content because it will confuse screen reader users when entering table mode.
How can I resolve this issue?
If you are using a table summary already you can remove the table caption. Alternatively if the caption is intended to display a different set of information then it should not be the same as the table summary
