Checkpoints - Include information about document size within or next to the link
Why is this important?
Informing users up front about a file's format and size allows them to make an informed decision about whether or not to download it. Downloading a large file can have an impact on one's mobile data plan, or take a long time over locations with a poor internet connection. In such cases, a user can make an informed decision specially if they have alternative options to download a file.
How can I resolve this issue?
Indicate the file size directly after the linked file
This checkpoint examines the entire HTML source code of a page and reports if the <a href> tag contains the file type PDF/DOC/PPT/XLS and it isn't followed by a description that contains the file size such as KB/MB.
