DQM Javascript scanning Beta Program 2020

We are pleased to announce that the Crownpeak Digital Quality Management (DQM) team will be making dashboards using our new JavaScript Scanner available for a specified period for those who would be taking part in the DQM JavaScript scanning Beta Program 2020.

The JavaScript Scanner Beta Program is open to existing Crownpeak clients who are administrators of JavaScript websites, that they would like DQM to scan.

Is there any cost involved in joining the program?

There is no cost to join the program and the JavaScript dashboard that will be set up will not count towards your existing contractual agreements for DQM. We do, however, ask for a small amount of your time to provide us regular feedback on the scan results seen in DQM.

What sort of feedback are you looking for?

Most importantly, it would be useful to know if the scanner is picking up all the pages in your website. DQM provides a downloadable inventory of all pages for each website. Find this in the “WEBSITE” section, under “Inventory” -> “Web pages”.

We would also like to know if you see any unexpected behaviour in the platform, specifically when looking at the results of checkpoints.

If there are any enhancements you would like to see – things that you think the JavaScript Scanner cannot do, but you would like it to – we would also appreciate that useful feedback.

Will I see the same results in DQM as the current HTML scanner?

The JavaScript Scanner works very similarly to the current HTML Scanner. There are, however, some known limitations to the current functionality:

  • Websites that require page interactions to access are currently not supported (websites behind a: login, age gate, country selector, etc.)

Will it work on all JavaScript websites?

Currently the JavaScript Scanner is intended for public facing websites with multiple pages built using JavaScript. If your website does not fall into this category, we can investigate if we can support your requirements.

What do I need to do in order to join the Beta Program?

Please reach out to your customer success manager if you are interested in taking part of the program.
